FISHING AT GOOSE ISLAND

There are plenty of great places to fish in the Coastal Bend, and Goose Island State Park is one of the best. Located along Aransas and St. Charles bays, there are several ways to experience a great day at the park. Use their boat launch to fish from your own boat. You can also try your hand at fishing from shore or the spectacular 1,620-foot long pier. There’s no need for a permit at Goose Island!

The park provides fish cleaning stations and picnic areas if you’d like to enjoy your catch on-site. Forget something? Take advantage of the park’s Tackle Loaner Program for rods, reels, and tackle boxes. There are even numbered camping spaces if you’d like to stay overnight for some sunrise fishing. Campsites are located by the bay or under the giant oak trees and feature water and electricity. You’ll even have use of restrooms with showers.
