TRY YOUR HAND AT SOME OF THE BEST PIER FISHING AROUND

If a day out on the water isn’t in the cards, why not give pier fishing a try? Corpus Christi has some great pier fishing spots, whether you’re an old pro or a beginner.

Anglers of all levels will enjoy casting out from Red Dot Pier on the Humble Channel. You can fish from 6:00 a.m. to midnight daily, with extended hours until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. A store rents equipment and sells bait and snacks. Red Dot is a great place to fish at night since it’s well-lit.

Bob Hall Pier is another great spot for fishing day or night. Its 1,240 foot elevated pier takes you far out into the Gulf. You’ll have plenty of time to catch a big one on Friday and Saturdays, when you can enjoy a full 24 hours of fishing. Sunday through Thursday gives you access the pier from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. A shop at the pier lets you rent equipment and purchase bait on site.

Both Red Dot Pier and Bob Hall Pier require a $2.00 Pier Pass for access. For more information on pier fishing in Corpus Christi, stop by the Visitor Information Center at 1590 N.
