It's Fishing Time! - Boat Stop Storage

Here in the Coastal Bend, we have some great fishing tournaments that cater to all kinds of fishing fans! The weekend of July 28th and 29th brings two different tournaments, but. Sorry guys, these are focused on women and kids! But whether you’re participating or not, you’re sure to have a great time.

The Saltwater Sweeties Annual Ladies Fishing Tournament is always a great time and serves as the primary fundraising event for the Coastal Bend Guides Association. Over 200 ladies will be participating this year.

Registration has ended for the tournament, but you can still head out to the Aransas Pass Civic Center and get in on all the activity. There will be raffles, giveaways, and a silent auction so you can grab some cool prizes and gear. The event will also feature lots of food and drinks plus live music for your entertainment. Kids will love participating in the 18th Annual Hooked on Youth Fishing Tournament. The tournament is a bay tournament, with redfish and trout categories, as well as a total stringer weight category. Trophies will be given out for both Guided and Un-Guided categories. Teams of up to four kids under the age of 16 may enter, with two non-fishing adults in the boat. Oink Inc.

The New Generation, a non-profit organization, is hosting the tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will go to support Texas Youth in Agriculture, helping Texas youth by purchasing their livestock at auction. They will be taking tax deductible donations as well. The event will take place at the Paws and Taws Convention Center in Rockport, and you can register up until 8:00 p.m. on July 28th. For more information, check out the website here.
