ENJOY FISHING EVEN WHEN YOU CAN’T GET ON THE WATER

Sometimes you can’t take your boat out on the water, but that shouldn’t stop you from fishing! For veterans and newcomers alike, Corpus Christi has a variety of fantastic pier fishing spots for all to enjoy.

A good place to start for all kinds of fishers is the Red Dot Pier on the Humble Channel. The times to fish range from 6:00 a.m. to midnight daily, with extended hours until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. With a well-lit pier, even fishing at night is a breeze.

If you’re looking for something that takes you further out, Bob Hall Pier provides an excellent spot to fish at all times of the day. Its 1,240-foot elevated pier takes you far out into the Gulf. Fridays and Saturdays are the time to come when you want to take your time, since you can enjoy a full 24 hours of fishing. Sunday through Thursday gives you access the pier from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Both Red Dot Pier and Bob Hall Pier require a $2.00 Pier Pass for access. Both piers have a shop to rent equipment and purchase bait, plus snacks when you need it.
